HEROES MONUMENT AND MISSING PERSONS

A monument dedicated to the missing person Minas Constantinou who went missing during the Turkish invasion of 1974 has been created at the centre of Deneia. It is actually a marble commemorative inscription bearing the name of the missing person located at the square also named after Minas Constantinou. The Monument was constructed in 2007 and the inauguration ceremony was held by the president of the House of Representatives at the time, Mr. Demetris Christofias.  

Minas Constantinou was born in Deneia in 1943. He got married in Kokkinotrimithia. He has two children and has been missing ever since August 1974.
